| Built | 1840/41 |

| Notes | F: Baines 1830, Pigot 1841. Marked on 1854 OS map. According to W. Smith 1898 the pub was built in the reign of James 1 and stood on the site of the present Commercial Inn. The Boot and Shoe was once the property of William Scatcherd. The Commercial Inn was also listed in Pigot 1841 so the Boot & Shoe must have been demolished around this time before the Commercial Inn was built. |
