NotesThe Borough Arms was locally known as “the Slip” and was officially renamed as the Slip in the 1980/90s. In October 2022 the pub reverted back to its original name of the Borough Arms. D.Atkinson: Licensees 1900 C. Sykes, 1905 Thomas Parrish (Beerhouse). Brewery owner 1970 Tetley’s. No directory information about the Borough Arms before 1936 when F. Howarth was landlord. The pub was closed in April 2025 and the building put up for sale
