NotesF: Pigot 1841. Landlords: 1836 John Helliwell, 1853 John Helliwell, 1899 Lionel Helliwell, 1905 Thomas Henry Scholes. In 1949 the Barker family sold the pub to Sam Smiths brewery and five years prior to this it was leased to Kirkstall Brewery. Sam Smiths were still the owners in 1970.
